Symptoms

You might be experiencing this problem if you notice:

  • OneDrive shows "Sync pending" indefinitely
  • Red X icons on files that won't sync
  • OneDrive says "Processing changes" but nothing happens
  • "Your OneDrive is full" even though you have space
  • Files syncing on one device but not another
  • OneDrive icon missing from system tray

Common Causes

  • OneDrive cache corrupted
  • File name or path too long (>260 characters)
  • File locked by another application
  • OneDrive storage quota exceeded
  • Network connection too slow or intermittent

Solutions

Solution 1: Reset OneDrive

  1. 1Press Windows + R
  2. 2Type: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
