Symptoms

You might be experiencing this problem if you notice:

  • Mail app says "Account is out of date" or "Attention needed"
  • No new emails appearing despite sending test emails
  • Sync button spins but nothing downloads
  • Error 0x8000000b or 0x80048830 in Mail app
  • Gmail or Yahoo account won't connect
  • Calendar events not syncing with mail account

  • App password required for Gmail/Yahoo (2FA enabled)
  • Account credentials expired or changed

Solutions

Solution 1: Remove and Re-add Email Account
