  • Accessibility settings affecting lock screen

Solutions

Solution 1: Re-enable Lock Screen via Registry

  1. 1Press Windows + R, type regedit
  2. 2Navigate to: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Personalization
  3. 3If "NoLockScreen" exists and is set to 1: change it to 0 or delete the key
  4. 4If the Personalization key doesn't exist: lock screen should be on by default
  5. 5Restart your computer
  6. 6The lock screen with image should appear before the sign-in prompt

Solution 2: Fix Lock Screen Image

  1. 1Go to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen
  2. 2Under "Personalize your lock screen": select "Windows Spotlight" or "Picture"
  3. 3If using Picture: click Browse and select a new image
  4. 4If Spotlight is stuck: switch to Picture, then back to Spotlight
  5. 5Clear Spotlight cache: delete files in %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Assets
  6. 6Restart — fresh images should download

Solution 3: Fix Lock Screen Notifications

  1. 1Go to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen
  2. 2Under "Lock screen status": select an app (Clock, Weather, Mail)
  3. 3Check Settings > System > Notifications > ensure notifications are enabled
  4. 4For detailed status: only one app can show detailed info on lock screen
