Solution 2: Set Manual Schedule and Verify Clock
- 1If sunset/sunrise does not work, use a manual schedule instead:
- 2Settings → System → Display → Night Light → Schedule
- 3Select "Set hours"
- 4Set your preferred on/off times
- 5Also verify your system clock is correct:
- 6Settings → Time & language → Date & time
- 7Enable "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically"
- 8Click "Sync now" to synchronize with time server
- 9Test that Night Light activates at the scheduled time
Solution 3: Reset Night Light Settings
- 1If schedule still not working, reset Night Light via registry:
- 2Open Registry Editor: Win+R → regedit
- 3Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\CloudStore\Store\DefaultAccount\Current\default$windows.data.bluelightreduction.bluelightreductionstate
- 4Delete the "Data" value
- 5Also navigate to: ...\default$windows.data.bluelightreduction.settings
- 6Delete the "Data" value there as well
- 7Restart the computer
- 8Reconfigure Night Light settings from scratch
- 9Update display driver if the issue persists
