You might be experiencing this problem if you notice:

  • Ethernet was working but stopped after update

Common Causes

  • Ethernet driver missing or corrupted
  • DHCP not obtaining an IP address
  • Ethernet adapter disabled in settings
  • Faulty ethernet cable or port
  • Static IP configuration conflict

Solutions

Solution 1: Reset Network Adapter

  1. 1Open Network Connections (ncpa.cpl)
  2. 2Right-click your Ethernet adapter > Disable
