You might be experiencing this problem if you notice:

  • Windows Sonic enabled but audio sounds normal (no spatial effect)
  • Dolby Atmos option missing from spatial sound menu
  • Spatial audio causes audio to sound distant or echoing
  • "Spatial sound" option grayed out
  • Spatial audio works in some apps but not games
  • Audio cuts out when enabling spatial sound format

  • Audio driver not supporting spatial audio
  • Spatial sound format not installed (Dolby/DTS)

Solutions

Solution 1: Enable Spatial Audio
