You might be experiencing this problem if you notice:

Solutions

Solution 1: Fix Quick Assist Connection

  1. 1Ensure both computers have internet access
  2. 2Helper: open Quick Assist > click "Help someone"
  3. 3Sign in with a Microsoft account (required for helper)
  4. 4Share the 6-digit security code with the other person
  5. 5Other person: open Quick Assist > enter the code within 10 minutes
  6. 6If code expires: generate a new one and try again

Solution 2: Reinstall Quick Assist

  1. 1Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps
  2. 2Search for "Quick Assist"
  3. 3Click the three dots > Uninstall
  4. 4Open Microsoft Store > search "Quick Assist" > Install

  1. 1If Quick Assist keeps failing, try Windows Remote Assistance:
  2. 2Search "Remote Assistance" in Start > "Invite someone to help you"
  3. 3This creates an invitation file you can email
  4. 4The helper opens the file and connects with a password you share
  5. 5For corporate environments: check if Remote Desktop is available instead
  6. 6Settings > System > Remote Desktop > enable if needed
