  • Windows setup (OOBE) Narrator left on
  • Sticky Keys or other accessibility shortcut collision

  2. 2Or: press Caps Lock + Esc to exit Narrator
  3. 3Or: go to Settings > Accessibility > Narrator > turn OFF the toggle
  4. 4If you can't navigate visually: press Windows key, type "narrator", press Enter, turn off

Solution 2: Prevent Narrator from Auto-Starting

  1. 1Go to Settings > Accessibility > Narrator (Win11) or Ease of Access > Narrator (Win10)
  2. 2Turn OFF "Start Narrator after sign-in"

  4. 4Uncheck "Allow the shortcut key to start Narrator"
  5. 5This prevents accidental Ctrl+Win+Enter activation
  6. 6Click Apply

Solution 3: Disable Narrator Shortcut

  1. 1If you keep accidentally pressing Ctrl+Win+Enter:
  2. 2Settings > Accessibility > Narrator
  3. 3Under "Narrator keyboard shortcut": toggle it OFF
  4. 4This completely disables the keyboard shortcut
