  • âš Resolution set higher than monitor supports

Solutions

Solution 1: Basic HDMI Troubleshooting

  1. 1On the monitor/TV: press Input/Source button and select the correct HDMI port
  2. 2Unplug the HDMI cable from both ends and reconnect firmly
  3. 3Try a different HDMI cable if available
  4. 4Try a different HDMI port on the monitor/TV and on the PC
  5. 5Restart both the PC and the monitor
  6. 6If using an adapter (USB-C to HDMI, DP to HDMI): try without it

Solution 2: Switch Display Output (Laptops)

  1. 1Press Win+P to open the Project menu
  2. 2Select "Duplicate" or "Extend"
  3. 3If screen is blank: press Win+P and tap the right arrow key twice, then Enter
  4. 4This blindly selects "Duplicate" even if you can't see the screen
  5. 5Some laptops need Fn+F4 (or similar Fn key) to toggle display output
  6. 6Check your laptop manual for the display toggle key

Solution 3: Fix GPU Detection

  1. 1Go to Settings > System > Display
  2. 2Click "Detect" under Multiple displays
  3. 3If not detected: open Device Manager > Display adapters
  4. 4Right-click your GPU > Update driver
  5. 5If driver is current: right-click > Disable device, wait 5 seconds, Enable device
  6. 6For resolution issues: boot into Safe Mode (display resets to basic), change resolution, reboot
