- 1If icons are corrupted or wrong: reset the icon cache
- 2Open Command Prompt as Admin
- 3Run: taskkill /f /im explorer.exe
- 4Run: del /f /s /q %localappdata%\IconCache.db
- 5Run: del /f /s /q %localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\iconcache*
- 6Run: start explorer.exe
- 7Icons will rebuild — may take a moment for all to reappear
